Does jinn steals people' belongings?

Assalam Aleykum,

I've had a debate with a one of muslims online. He says jinn unable to steal and no fetwa on it in the Glorius Quran. It needs to say that this Muslim is the local scholar and have a channel in youtube. However, why there are many people complaint about their things mystically disappearing at house?... and Imam Nasser, God's blessings on him and his family, has written about kidnapping people. Could anyone please clarify it?

Alaokoum Salam, I do not know any fatwa issued or a statement in this regard by imam Mahdi. There is, however, a statement about jinn and angels physical capabilities but there is no mention of stealing or lack otherwise. Personally, I have never heard or seen a case of jinn stealing and I think it’s just a matter of overthinking , myth or pop culture

Thank you for making it clear...as Imam Mahdi ( peace and blessing of Allah to him) said, there are Muslim people who mislead others by saying what they don't know, and spreading it in an internet...i have reminded him a story of Suleyman too (Peace be upon him, and all other prophets). I have mentioned a one of his jinns who offered Solomon to bring him a throne within fantastically short period of time..

This ayat says that jinn able to steal:

"Solomon] said, “O assembly [of jinn], which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?”
A powerful one from among the jinn said, “I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy."

Surah An-Naml; Ayat: 38-40

Peace be upon you, the imam said it is not the jinn that brought the queen's throne, rather it was Jibril (PBUH) who brought it, Jibril was the one who is more knowledgeable than Allah's prophet Sulaiman

Peace be upon you too. But before Angel said that there was a one of Ifrits who offered Suleiman, peace be upon him and other prophets, to bring the throne and it is a one of argument to say that jinn steals ....

Assalamu Alaykoum, Imam Nasser Mohammed Al-Yamani has not given us any clear proof regarding that matter so let's just stick to what we have been given knowledge about by the Imam. But if it is an urgent matter maybe you should send him a private message and ask him

It's not urgent. Shouldn't bother Imam about inessential inquiry. I agree with you. If Imam doesn't give comments on this question it's better to forget about it.
